The New Age Movement Is Deadly

“And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I WILL SET MY FACE AGAINST THAT PERSON...” Leviticus 20:6 Tragedy, mental illness and/or death will come into that person's family. Visiting a medium or fortune teller is so serious in the eyes of God that he warned his people that he would SET HIS FACE AGAINST THEM should they venture into this realm. The seriousness of the penalty indicates how abominable this sin is before God. And why? Because it is spiritual adultery. When a medium “channels” information, the information is coming from the demonic realm over which Satan rules. Satan knows the history of the man or woman seeking a word from channelers and mediums, and he can give such precise information that the person is stunned by its accuracy and falls prey to it, becoming totally deceived. One thing must be remembered and that is that visiting a medium brings a curse not only upon the one visiting, but upon his or her children down to the third and fourth generation. This principle is repeated in several places in the Scriptures. "The Lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy,

forgiving iniquity and transgression;

but he by no means clears the guilty,

visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children

to the third and fourth generation."

Numbers 14:18 For a list of specific sins involving the occult, see Deuteronomy chapter 18, beginning with verse 9. Note that the Scripture says that the person getting involved in any of these practices, THAT PERSON is an abomination to God. If you have been involved in any of these things, you are an abomination to God and he will set his face AGAINST you. “And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nations which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them.” Leviticus 20:23 Never forget that Satan is called “the god of this world” (2nd Corinthians 4:4). Any involvement with him or his kingdom is considered spiritual prostitution. The believer belongs to God and is not to in any way entangle himself in the world of the occult or in the teachings or practices of the so-called “New Age” movement. It’s all abomination. It’s deadly. It's cursed. "New Age" practitioners attract people by making it sound incredibly alluring. People won’t be attracted to what they know is evil, so Satan makes sure that what they teach sounds wonderful. Satan doesn’t come with a sign saying “here comes evil,” no, he disguises himself as “an angel of LIGHT.” (2nd Corinthians 11:14) He will even use Scripture to lure followers. Satan’s end game is to draw people away from the living God and into deception, and ultimately into destruction. Jesus said that Satan comes “to steal, to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10). Examples of the wicked “New Age” teachings are those of Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Dr. Mehmet Oz and others. These are masters of the “New Age” movement, and they are servants of Satan himself, regardless how wonderful they sound. Any angel of light will always sound SO good! They will be incredibly attractive. “A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones.” Leviticus 20:27 We no longer impose the death penalty on such things, but the Word of God has made it very clear that the world of the occult is deadly. I have watched this over many years and have seen the results of this kind of involvement time and time again. The curse that accompanies it often comes as mental illness or premature death, sometimes both, oftentimes in the person's children, and goes down to the third and fourth generation of anyone involving himself in these things. Turn away from these things and confess them as sin before the Lord. And pray for mercy. "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons." 1st Corinthians 10:21
