Post-Modern Apostasy In This New Age

"...this is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the law of the Lord;" Isaiah 30:9 It is absolutely amazing how these words written so long ago describe America precisely, and not only America, for this is the condition that has come upon the whole world. This is EXACTLY what they have done, they have refused the law of the Lord. They have determined to promote all that God hates. They have forbidden the Bible in schools lest our children be taught its principles. They've removed God's Word from public places. If someone uses the Word of God to speak to a problem in society, that person is branded with all kinds of filthy and hateful name-calling. Pastors lose their jobs, professors lose their tenure, and citizens are severely punished for refusing to surrender to their demands. APOSTASY How accurate are the words which predicted these very things for "the last days." "Political correctness" mocks anyone who dares to proclaim the Word of God. The greatly foretold apostasy is taking place right before our eyes, in the very churches that were once sanctuaries of the living God, but which are now demanding to be "post-modern," aligning themselves with “the spirit of the new age." The theme of this day and age is "Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, cause the mention of God to cease from before us." vs 10-11: "Who say to the seers, 'Do not see,' and to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.'” Interestingly, apostasy is not speaking of society as a whole, apostasy speaks of defection from the faith. It is not the world it is addressing, it is the church. "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron..." 1 Timothy 4:1-2 DOCTRINES OF DEMONS What are "doctrines of demons?" It's the same old lie that began in the very beginning when Satan came to Eve in the garden and said to her, "Did God really say...?" Today Satan is telling the churches, "Did God really say it's not ok to promote homosexuality? Did God really say that the murder of children in the womb is not ok? Did God really say that he is going to restore his land to Israel and NOT to the sons of Ishmael? No, God didn't really mean those things," they teach their followers. "They aren't appropriate in this modern and enlightened era." Doctrines of demons are words of opposition to what God has said. The churches have been deceived just as Eve fell to Satan's deception. Even in the churches they are calling what God calls evil "good" and what God loves they are calling "outdated." It's called the great apostasy, and there you have it. The Word of God says that "WOE" is going to come upon them, which means they are cursed. "WOE to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;" Isaiah 5:20 Jesus said that "the last days" would be as the days of Noah. For as long as it took Noah to build the ark, he preached to the people ...but they refused what he said. And WOE came upon them. They all perished. Society which is now immersed in "the doctrine of demons" will not escape the woe coming to it, says the Word of God. He who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who has ears to hear, come to repentance for the WOE is just ahead.
