When It's Too Late

"Moreover all the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed more and more, according to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the Lord which he had consecrated in Jerusalem." 2 Chronicles 36:14 God is very, very patient. But the time inevitably has to come when judgment will fall. Yet his mercy has gone before him as he has pleaded with mankind to come to repentance. vs 15: "And the Lord God of their fathers sent warnings to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending them, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place." Some ask why judgment has not fallen on America. The answer is the patience of God. In spite of the gross offenses against him, still he has held out for the sake of anyone left who will come into his Kingdom. He could have put America down a long time ago and he surely would have been more than justified in doing so. The patience of God has waited far longer than anyone expected. Still, he has sent more men of God to warn, but at this point few are heeding and many are scoffing. Some are openly defiant. vs 16: "But they mocked the messengers of God, despised his words, and scoffed at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, TILL THERE WAS NO REMEDY." The day is in sight when God's case against America will be beyond remedy. Believers are all aware of it and shudder, because they know a people cannot scoff and mock and despise his Words forever, there will be a time when it has gone beyond remedy. vs 17: "THEREFORE he brought against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, on the aged or the weak; he gave them all into his hand." Therefore HE has allowed the forces behind an evil, lying man to usurp the White House. Therefore HE allowed a man-made vaccine to cause the deaths of many. Therefore HE allowed evil men to bring about a Satanic "New World Order." Therefore he did not prevent all manner of evil from covering the land. But ...the worst is yet to come. When great judgment falls upon an evil world, there will be no remedy. Before it happened, the Lord took a very long time to warn the people. He did not just arbitrarily rise up and smite the nation, no, he sent men - many men - to speak to the people, to warn them, to bid them come to repentance. Judgment is not God's will, repentance is God's will. His mercy has held out for a very long time, giving men space to repent. But there is a time set, a limit, and when the evil goes beyond remedy then judgment will fall and it will be without mercy. It will come upon young and old alike, upon their children, upon all that is dear to them. They will cry, but it will be too late just as it was too late when the rain began falling in Noah's day. When the day of repentance has passed and judgment falls, God's mercy will not be entreated. It will simply be ...too late. The door of the ark is closed. Judgment falls. vs 19: "Then they burned the house of God, broke down the wall of Jerusalem, burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its precious possessions." And so it will be in America and in the rest of the world. It's a sad, sad thing, because many will die. And they will die in their sins. Beyond remedy. Here's a final call to anyone who can possibly hear it: come to repentance now while it is still possible. God will receive you no matter what you've done, no matter how evil you've been, no matter how you've spoken against him. But come now. Just come now!
