Two Observable Kingdoms Here And Now

"Scatter the peoples who delight in war." Psalm 68:30 Since ancient days war has prevailed over the earth, men in power lusting for more power, attacking neighbors in order to rule over them. Kingdoms rise and fall by war, empires are established through war. And the peoples suffer. But why? It is said of Satan that he is the god of this world: "...whose minds THE GOD OF THIS WORLD has blinded..." 2 Corinthians 4:4 Adam was given authority over the earth, but Satan succeeded in causing Adam to rebel against the Lord so that he could usurp that authority, and thus Satan became "the god of this world." And indeed, one look at the world and it's very obvious. He has blinded the minds of the peoples, he has stirred the hearts of kings to war against each other. He fosters envy and jealousy and hatred, and especially he arouses pride through which all manner of evil triumphs. Take a sweeping look at the world we live in, and see with enlightened eyes the results of "the god of this world's" reign over the whole earth – not just in a few select places – no, he is “the god of this world.” What is Satan's nature and purposes? Jesus answered that: "He was a MURDERER from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a LIAR and the father of it." John 8:44 Scripture tell us that Satan is ...a murderer ...and the father of lies. What do you see as you take that sweeping look at the whole world? You see murder on a massive scale, and lies blinding the minds of the peoples. Truly, to anyone who has eyes to see - it's only SO obvious. But that's going to change. Satan's days are numbered. The One who is greater than Satan is coming. And when he comes, that will be the end of Satan's career. The murder will stop, and mankind will no longer be blinded, for he who is coming is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). When Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, comes to this earth he will set up his Kingdom, and he will reign in all righteousness from his Throne in Jerusalem. And THAT will be obvious. "He shall rule them with a rod of iron;" Revelation 2:27 With that rod, there will be no more violence, no more hatred, no more lies, no more babies destroyed in their mothers' wombs, no more immorality, no more apostasy. There will be no more adultery, no more homosexual bishops. There will be no more homosexual marriage, for the Word of God will prevail. All will know him, and all will understand. "None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them." Hebrews 8:11 There will be no more violence in the earth, for wars will cease. And there will be no more hatred of Israel, for Jesus the Christ shall reign FROM Israel upon the Throne of David (Luke 1:32-33). And there will finally be peace. "They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." Isaiah 2:4 For the time being, all these evils reign on this earth and we know from the Scriptures that before the Messiah comes, it's all going to get increasingly worse, not better. If you have any hope for this world, you're fooling yourself. Discern the time we are in and all that is crying out to us to pay attention. A person had best not think that he can walk with "the god of this world" in this lifetime and then expect to go with Jesus when he dies. The door to salvation is open to all now. The wise man will seek the salvation of God and surrender his life to the one who truly IS the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the one who does not seek to destroy, but to heal, who will not lie, but who speaks only truth. Satan influenced man to rebel against God by causing man to surrender to himself, the liar. But the Spirit of God calls man to rebel against Satan by surrendering to himself, the Truth. All will make this choice, and not making a choice is to choose the god of the world into which one was born. This is why Jesus said one must be born again. Open your heart to Jesus Christ. Make your choice this very day. More: "Born Again," what does that mean?
