They Laughed At Noah - And Perished

"Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge, that I may make you know the certainty of the Words of truth, that you may answer Words of truth to those who send to you?” Proverbs 22:20-21 Counsels and knowledge… Wisdom is not acquired by the resources of the world, which are often wrong or deceiving. People heed "experts," but experts can be wrong, sometimes very wrong. They develop their knowledge from the wrong sources. Their counsels come from the wisdom of the world, and that is certain foolishness. If you take a course in philosophy, there it becomes most obvious that the wisdom of the world is foolishness. That's what God calls it: "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God." 1st Corinthians 3:19 The source of true wisdom is the Word of God, and it is certain, it is sure. Therefore, any position that opposes the Word of God is foolishness. For example, the "theory" of evolution. The world insists that people believe it, in fact professors have lost their jobs for refusing to teach it as truth, but the bottom line is that it contradicts God's account of how this world came into being, and so it is just foolishness. When you note the multitudes of people who believe it, you get some idea of the magnitude of the foolishness of the world, for this is only one "theory" that is clearly false, therefore it behooves us to look with a critical eye at all the philosophies of the world. We live in a time in history like no other time. These are "the last days" spoken of throughout the Bible. The Lord told us what to watch for, and the things he said to watch for are here, right before our eyes. What are some of those things? Well, he spoke of the day when we'd see the budding of the fig tree. The fig tree in the Bible is a symbol of Israel. When these words were written it was shortly before the destruction of Jerusalem in the year 70 A.D. Then for two thousand years, Israel lay desolate and the Jewish people were scattered throughout the world, in every nation on the face of the earth. The generation we're living in is the generation that has seen the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948 and God's program of regathering the Jews from throughout the world back to the land of their forefathers. This is that generation. The rebirth of the nation of Israel is the sign believers were told to watch for. It’s here. It has happened in our generation. It's almost comical to watch the great men of the world deciding how they're going to solve the "Arab-Israeli" conflict. If they knew the Word of God, they would cease trying because they would know they are not going to succeed. God has shown in his Word how that conflict is going to be settled, and there is no great man on earth who will be able to accomplish it, except the Antichrist who will bring in a false and deadly peace which will end terribly. No, God alone will settle it. In Matthew 24 the Lord gave many more things to watch for, and they're all here - wars, rumors of war, ethnic group against ethnic group, earthquakes, famines, and pestilence (which is disease.) Some might say, "we've always had those things since the beginning of time." Yes, but that's not the point. Every generation has had its great war or its great earthquake or its great plague. The sign to look for is the generation that has ALL of them - increasing in frequency and intensity. This is unquestionably that generation. We are on the cusp of the beginning of Satan's time. He will have seven years to give it his best shot. He will raise up the man whom the Bible calls the "Antichrist" who will work together with another man whom the Bible calls "the False Prophet," and they will begin the time on earth that Jesus Christ warned about, the time called "the Great Tribulation." It's blatantly obvious that we're nearing the time. It will be Satan's hour. And it will be as hell on earth. How terrible will it be? Jesus answered that: "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." Matthew 24:21 The Lord has promised to remove born-again believers from the earth before that seven-year period begins, in an event called "the Rapture." Satan has gone to great lengths to mock at this event, causing men to come up with all kinds of arguments telling why they don't believe it. At the bottom of this article there is a link to a Rapture site refuting each of their arguments. Again, this widespread scoffing is a great example of "foolishness," just as the warnings of the flood of Noah seemed as foolishness to the men watching him build an ark in a place where it didn't rain - and oh how they mocked him! The fact is ...the rains came and they all perished except for Noah and his family. Jesus said the last days of this present age will be "as the days of Noah." God has raised up men for this time and as Noah did, they're bringing this message for all who will receive it. The world not only doesn't believe, but they scoff at and mock those who do. And the result is going to be the same. They will perish. What characterized "the days of Noah?" Two major things: sexual perversion and violence. And those involved in these practices laugh at the Noahs of our day. They scoff at anyone bringing this message. "...knowing this first that SCOFFERS will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.'" 2nd Peter 3:3-4 The global "New World Order" is the kingdom of the Antichrist developing right now before our eyes. It will bring in the great Tribulation. So I say to you don't be a fool, do not be out of God's favor as the course of history turns with ominous events hanging in the balance. Don't be a scoffer. Am I alarmed? Yes and no. God has brought me into his kingdom and my safety is in him. But I AM alarmed for loved ones who have not been saved. And for the multitudes who are scoffing now. If you are not ready to stand before your Creator, I solemnly urge you to settle this. Jesus said "you MUST be born again." That is not a suggestion. Hear him. "Born Again" -What Does That Mean?
