Satan Is Limited In What He Can Predict

One of the characteristics of the Word of God is that there is prophecy in it from beginning to end. This is how God validates his Word. “When your people Israel are defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against you, and when they turn back to you and confess your Name, and pray and make supplication to you in this Temple, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which you gave to their fathers.” 1 Kings 8:33-34 There is a prophecy hidden in this verse. Solomon prayed this prayer when dedicating the Temple. In his dedication, he speaks of the day when the Israelites will be captive in the land of their enemies, asking that God BRING THEM BACK to the land he had given to their fathers. How did he know they would be taken into captivity? When Solomon prayed this prayer, Israel was at peace and at this point had never been taken captive by any enemy. One thing that distinguishes God and his Word from every other religion or “holy” book, is that God is the only one who can give prophecy, because he is the only one who knows the future. “For I am God, and there is NO OTHER; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times -things that are not yet done…” Isaiah 46:10 “And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.” John 14:29 Satan tries to put prophecy in the writings of other religions, but he can only glean from what he already knows from the Word of God. There is a lot foretold about the “last days” in the Word of God, so Satan can predict “wars, rumors of war, earthquakes, famine, pestilence,” seeming to make predictions - but he is unable to predict beyond what God has already revealed. Satan can also predict what he can bring about. For example, if you go to a medium, he can predict through that medium that you will have an auto accident – which he then arranges for you to have. You’ll think it was the medium who made the prediction, thus confirming your faith in fortune telling, a practice detested and soundly warned against throughout God’s Word. This is the way Satan brings people to doom, because all delving in the occult brings a curse. King Saul, the first king in Israel, lost his LIFE because he visited a medium seeking advice from a prophet who had died. "So Saul DIED for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the Lord, because he did not keep the word of the Lord, and also BECAUSE HE CONSULTED A MEDIUM FOR GUIDANCE." 1 Chronicles 10:13 Another thing Satan can do is impersonate a loved one. If you go to a medium seeking to make contact with a dead loved one, Satan impersonates the loved one and through the medium he tells you things that you think only that loved one would know. No - it is not the loved one with whom you have made contact, it is a demon impersonating the loved one and telling you whatever you want to know. Always remember: Satan is a liar. Jesus said of him: "When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." John 8:44 Jesus said Satan is actually the father of lies. He will use things he knows from your past to convince you that the medium is credible. Friend, love what God loves, and hate what God hates. Any attempt to gain information from any supernatural source other than God will always, every time, bring judgment for this sin of spiritual adultery. All occult practices bring a curse with them, and the curse is so severe that it will afflict not only the person dabbling in it, but also his children down to the third and fourth generation, because there is no sin greater than cavorting with demonic spirits for information, or trying to reach the dead. It is spiritual adultery – going to another supernatural source instead of going to God. If you belong to God, his Word says that you are not to dabble in any other supernatural source.

God has put prophecy throughout his Word in order to validate his Word as the ONLY source of information. Do not try to get information from any other supernatural source - it is a slap in the face to God, and a statement of unbelief concerning his warnings. You cannot walk with God and with the occult too. Neither will allow it.
