Be Merciful To Me Oh God

"Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for my soul trusts in you, and in the shadow of your wings I will make my refuge..." Psalm 57:1 False religions teach the principle of "Karma." For every principle in God's Word, Satan puts forth a counterfeit and Karma is the counterfeit of the doctrine of sowing and reaping: "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." Galatians 6:7 According to Karma, one will reap all that he has sowed and if one lifetime is not enough to reap it all, he will be reincarnated until he completes it, and if he was bad enough he might even come back as an animal! But reincarnation is a false doctrine. It's a lie. The Word of God says that man dies ONCE. "And as it is appointed unto men ONCE to die, but after this the judgment..." Hebrews 9:27 No, we do not come back to complete Karma. Karma and reincarnation are false doctrines, “doctrines of demons” that Satan has set up to counterfeit the Word of God. "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons..." 1 Timothy 4:1 In this life we indeed WILL reap what we have sowed, but in God there is the element of GRACE. One's sins may have been very great but instead of the idea of coming back as an animal, for the believer there is grace that covers a multitude of sins. Indeed, the psalmist wrote: "If you, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you..." Psalm 130:3-4 Jesus Christ suffered the guilt of each man's sins on the Cross, and that's where the grace of God comes in. The forgiveness one receives when one is born again is complete and total because Jesus bore the judgment on it - in our place. Jesus paid it ALL. But though one is forgiven, that doesn't reverse the results of sin. If a woman commits adultery and becomes pregnant, she can be totally forgiven, but there's the baby and her marriage to contend with. If someone lies about another, he can be totally forgiven, but those lies can destroy the other person's life. If a person drives while drunk, he may cause an accident in which someone might die. He can be totally forgiven, but that won't bring back the one who died. Forgiveness does not eradicate the results of sin. How does the mercy of God work? In many ways. The mercy of God will sometimes reverse a situation, or the mercy of God will sometimes add an element that provides relief. Once one belongs to Jesus Christ, the mercy of God will follow him throughout his life in every and all circumstances. The Lord does not always reverse situations because many times God uses those circumstances to teach lessons. But when a person must walk through the results of his sins, the mercy and love of God will walk with him through it all and it will be obvious. There is nothing the believer will face but that God's mercy will be seen in it. Many times that will be so glorious that the believer's heart will be overcome with joy and praise as he realizes how he has been touched by God, and his heart will sing out as the heart of David did: vs 9-10: "I will praise you, O Lord, among the peoples, I will sing to you among the nations, for your mercy reaches unto the heavens, and your truth unto the clouds." David sinned greatly, but though he had to walk through the results of his sins the Lord was with him - so much so that his heart was lifted up in praise and singing. This is mercy, and only God provides it. The love of God will never, ever be absent no matter what the believer faces. As in the "Footprints" story, the believer NEVER walks alone.
