Jesus prayed, "I have glorified you on the earth. I have finished the work which you have given me to do." John 17:4 Jesus Christ set the example for all his followers. What is the most important thing in a believer's life? To finish the work God has given each one to do, and in doing so, to glorify the Father. Many believers go through life with nary a thought of what his assignment might be. Some don't even realize that they've been given an assignment, a purpose, at all. But every born-again believer has been fitted and gifted according to the specific plan of God for their lives. That plan is unique to the individual - that is, there is no one on earth who can fulfill the plan God has assigned to YOU. God has placed you where he wants you to be, whether in a city, in a rural setting, in a specific church, in a specific job, with specific acquaintances, a chosen audience. In short, God has gone before you and arranged that you be in the right place at the right time with the right people you're called to minister to. It's all his doing. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, WHICH GOD PREPARED BEFOREHAND that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10 You are his workmanship. There is not another just like you on the face of the earth past or present. When you were conceived God had already planned what your gifts and talents would be, and what your personality would be, your makeup, the way you are wired. It was all deliberate. There is nothing left to chance in the product called YOU. In years past we knew that fingerprints were specific to one person only, but now we know that a person’s entire DNA is specific to that one person in the whole universe – that’s the way God created it. He MEANT for you to be special, unique in all of creation. Even your weaknesses and afflictions are pre-planned. Do you have an illness? If so, that provides you with a whole company of people you will be in contact with, doctors, nurses, aides, etc. You should be seeking God for how he would have you interact with these people for they are the very people that make up your story. And so it is with all situations in our lives. Our situations create opportunities, opportunities that only we can fulfill. Maybe you feel you don’t have anything to offer. Don’t believe that lie - every person has the gifts and callings necessary for their particular purpose. There's a good chance in any situation in your life that you're the only believer among those who are there. Do you work for a harsh boss? Is there someone at your job site who vexes you? Rather than commiserate, bring that person to God in prayer and then you will be ready should the Lord open an opportunity for you to reach out to that person. Or your prayers might bring someone else into that person’s life to reach him/her. That’s how important prayer is. It must start with prayer. Seek to know from God as Jesus did, what he will have you do. Before you do anything, put in the prayer time, for all of our works depend on prayer. The Scripture in John noted above portrays Jesus Christ in prayer, setting the example for us to know how to begin. If we don't put in the prayer time, we fight a losing battle. Prayer is the foundation for all our works, just as Jesus himself demonstrated. Do not let your life be so busy that you neglect the most important thing in life, the time you spend with the Lord in prayer, for it is the foundation for all you'll do.

"For Jerusalem stumbled, and Judah is fallen, because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory." Isaiah 3:8 How long can a people "provoke" the Lord? The Lord gives them time to repent, and as with ancient Israel, he sends many warnings before judgment finally comes. It is not the will of God to pour out his judgment upon any people, his will is always to draw people to repentance. But when they defiantly refuse again and again, the judgment will finally come when he sees that there is no more space for repentance, when they have hardened their hearts and are deaf to his warnings. And so it is with America. They do not hide their shame, rather they glory in it. vs 9: "The look on their countenance witnesses against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom; THEY DO NOT HIDE IT, woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush." Jeremiah 6:15 Has America gone beyond the point of no return? There's very little doubt as to the answer to that. The perversions and sins continue and only grow worse, assaulting the eyes daily with their dark sins. In ancient Israel, people sacrificed babies to the god Molech. In America, babies are sacrificed to the god of convenience, while they demand their "rights." More than seventy million little boys and little girls have been massacred in recent years. Most people know what went on in Sodom, and the ashes of Sodom remain to this day. America is at that point, shamelessly forcing their sin on society and even upon the children in their elementary schools, with society declaring that all must accept the great sin of this people. When finally judgment falls, it will be as in the days of Noah ...unexpected and final. They will perish. We see the signs of the impending one-world global government taking shape right before our eyes. We see the religions of the world coming together to form the prophesied global religion with a "pope" leading his people worldwide into a religion joined with Islam - just as it was prophesied so long ago in the Bible, the Word of God, concerning the last generation. Jesus told us what to watch for, and all the signs he mentioned are happening right now, in our face. There is no question that we are in the "last days." The wars, rumors of war, earthquakes, famines, and pestilence are all here concurrently. (And that's the definitive point, "concurrently.") "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24:7-8 In addition, society has descended into gross immorality as was prophesied for "the last days." "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power." 2 Timothy 3:1-5 That pretty accurately describes this generation as none other. A generation ago we could not have imagined how terrible things would get, the horrors of “drag queens” parading in front of our children. Church ministers married to same-sex partners. One other factor presently before our eyes is the nations prophesied to be allied against Israel "in the last days," as shown in Ezekiel 38. A generation ago Russia was not allied with Iran and Turkey was not allied with either, but incredibly they are now lined up together just as foretold. These are the three main nations that will be destroyed by God himself when they come against Israel. And then the Scriptures go on to say that the last days would be "As it was in the days of Noah..." Events on the earth are identical to what was going on in the days of Noah. The scariest part is that the judgment fell so suddenly, so finally, so unexpectedly - even though Noah had warned the people throughout the years it took him to build the ark. They all laughed him to scorn. And ...they all perished, with the exception of Noah's family. Anyone who knows the Word of God knows where we are on the Biblical timeline. Nothing of all the signs mentioned is missing. It's all here. Right before our eyes. Men warn, and people laugh them to scorn. Oh heed the words of Jesus Christ: "...unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:5 Life here is short. Eternity is forever. There is nothing worth the risk of eternal loss. As terrible judgment looms, give it up folks, it's not worth it. Repent. Turn to the Lord and seal your eternal fate with him now. Don't wait.

“Hear, O my people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to me! THERE SHALL BE NO FOREIGN GOD AMONG YOU, nor shall you worship any foreign god." Psalm 81:8-9 Is tolerance ok before God? Is it ok to allow foreign gods to be worshiped in our land? First of all, we have to remember that America was founded upon the Word of God. On the day of the inauguration of our first president, George Washington went to a chapel and dedicated the nation to God. Our laws were taken from the Bible. We are not like other nations who worship false gods in ignorance, therefore more is expected of us. Judgment will fall upon America, and the presence of false gods in our land will lead to that judgment. Islam is taking over the country and we've let it happen. This is how far we have fallen. What a slap in God's face! What a defiance of his Word! We have demanded that the true God leave our public places, he is banned in our schools, in our government, and many times even chaplains are forbidden to pray in Jesus' Name. God has given Americans over to their own will, and that means judgment is inevitable, in fact discerning eyes perceive the judgment happening even as we speak. No, it is NOT ok to allow the worship of false gods in our land, and America will find that out the hard way. We are nearing the Great Tribulation which Jesus said will be a time of horror worse than anything the world has ever seen since the beginning of time. That will be God's response to false worship. It will be so terrible that unless God shortened those days, no one upon the earth would survive: "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved..." Matthew 24:21-22 We are a country that has been blessed beyond any other country on the face of the earth, but we have forgotten why that is so. Take for example Haiti. The Haitian government officially dedicated their country to Satan on three separate occasions. See the poverty and suffering there - obviously Satan does not bless his people. In comparison America, founded on the Word of God, the Judeo-Christian principles, has been blessed above all the nations on the earth. But instead of deep gratitude, we have forsaken the God who has blessed us. Judgment upon America will be greater than that of other nations, because we are not ignorant, we have kicked God out deliberately, proclaiming that we no longer want his yoke upon us. Therefore the country won't survive when judgment falls. Let us hope that the united voice of the American believer's prayers will bring mercy along with the just judgments that cannot be avoided, for truly God is a merciful God. The greatest revival of all time is prophesied to take place during that 7-year Tribulation, those "last days" when the wrath of God is poured out upon the earth. Many will be removed prior to that time in the Rapture, but until then there is much we can do to leave behind information for those who will be here realizing they missed it. Let us do all we can to give them guidance and hope, because they will find themselves in a terrible time and their decisions will be extremely difficult. There is still time, although the age is so obviously coming to a close. Once the door has been shut there will be no more outstretched hand of mercy and terrible judgments will fall. Oh people, turn back to the Lord. Rebellion is not worth it. Surrender your stubborn heart and come back to walking in his counsels, that you might be saved and spared of having to live through the time of the worst judgment the world has ever known. Come to Christ now. He is holding out his hand of mercy. Don't miss it. For anyone left behind, here is a complete explanation of what's happening and what one must do and not do during the Tribulation. Print it out and leave it somewhere where people left behind will see it.
