"Everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Isaiah 43:7 One of the greatest insults to God that one can bring is the denial that he is the Creator. The "theory of evolution" is presented as fact, when it's only a theory, a theory the Bible soundly rejects. We need to ask why its devotees are so passionate in their stance, to the point of mandating that it be taught and that repercussions come to all who dare suggest that there is a Creator. Professors have lost their jobs, even their tenures, for stating that we are created, not evolved. And why is that? Who do you think is behind it? It should be obvious. If one concedes that there is a Creator, then that presents a huge problem. If we were created, that puts us in a position relative to God - it means we are ACCOUNTABLE to him. To allow that there is a God suggests that we must submit to his will, and that's where the crux of the problem is. Fallen mankind wants to be the master of his own fate. The Bible calls it "the pride of life" (1st John 2:16). The very idea of submitting to another is anathema to them, therefore they HAVE to demand that there be no God - it's of vital importance to them to lead all to believe we evolved - then they are free to do their own thing. That is exactly what happened when the first sin was committed. What WAS the first sin? It wasn't eating a forbidden fruit, no, the first sin was disbelieving God's Word. Satan approached Eve and brought her into sin. The vital question is: HOW did he do that? By making her disbelieve God's Word. Satan told her that what God had said was not true. He came to her and suggested, "Indeed, has God said ...?" and went on to tell her that what God had said is false (Genesis 3:1-4). He told her that God didn't want them to know that if they would partake of the fruit of a certain forbidden tree, THEY WOULD BECOME AS GODS. Aren't we talking about the same old lie today? Man wants to be his own master. The "New Age" teaching currently popular is that we are all "as gods," that we all carry divinity within us. Satan uses the same lie ...because it works. Friends, it's not that the theory of evolution is true and that creation is a lie, it's the very opposite. The theory of evolution is a lie, perpetrated since the beginning by "the father of lies" (John 8:44). The truth is that all life has been created by God. And not only created, but sustained. It is through Jesus Christ that all things consist. "For by Him (Jesus) all things were CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, AND IN HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST." Colossians 1:16-17 Furthermore, evolution is disproved by the discovery of DNA. Every living thing has a certain number of chromosomes, a unique DNA structure known only to that species. God showed us that in the very beginning of creation, when he said, and repeated multiple times, that he had created all "after their own kind" (Genesis 1:24). That's why a cat will never produce a dog, and a fish will never produce a bird, the chromosomes of each species is unique and set forever. Any change in the DNA will produce a degradation, not a benefit. "But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; and the fish of the sea will explain to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?" Job 12:7-10 Take a look, this is just amazing:

“When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, ‘Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?’ So they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ He said to them, ‘But who do YOU say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ (the Messiah), the Son of the living God.’ Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not REVEALED this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, AND ON THIS ROCK I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.'” Matthew 16:13-17 Upon which rock? Some say that Jesus built his church upon Peter. But think about it, does that even make sense? Would Jesus build his church upon a man? Of course not. Scripture tells us that JESUS IS THE FOUNDATION, the rock, the chief cornerstone, and that there is NO OTHER: “For NO OTHER foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” 1st Corinthians 3:11 “Rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee.” This is not a prayer to Peter. Peter never was the head of the newly-born Church. In the Book of Acts, there was a conflict presented to the apostles about whether the gentiles must submit to the Mosaic laws and be circumcised. After they debated the issue thoroughly, it was the apostle JAMES who gave the decision. James was the head of the first council in Jerusalem. “And after they had become silent, JAMES answered…” Acts 15:13 vs 18:20 “Known to God from eternity are all his works. Therefore I JUDGE that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God…” JAMES gives the verdict, notice the words “I judge.” Peter was there, but James gave the decision. Later, the apostle Paul gives a report on a conflict between himself and Peter, and it was obvious Peter was no “pope,” for Paul would never have withstood him if he were. Also, in Paul’s rebuke to Peter, it’s obvious Peter was NOT infallible. “Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I WITHSTOOD HIM TO HIS FACE, because he was to be blamed;” Galatians 2:11 It’s vitally important to understand this. Jesus did not build his church upon a man, he built his church upon the REVELATION that he, Jesus, is the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Flesh and blood cannot reveal this to a human being, it can only come from the Father in heaven. Matthew 16:16-18 WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? The whole Gospel is the story of man’s fall, man’s inborn sin nature, and the provision God made for man’s salvation through Jesus Christ who became the atonement for our sin, the one who died for us, in our place, and rose from the dead three days later. It’s all about Jesus Christ; it’s all about the atonement he provided to save us. It’s ALL about him! And ONLY him! One can know all about Jesus, but not know him; many read the Bible but never "get it." To be able to read the Bible and receive God’s Word from it, one must be born again. "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1st Corinthians 2:14 Jesus said, ” Do not marvel that I said to you, You MUST be born again” (John 3:7). When one is born again, the Spirit of God speaks to that person through the Word of God, and continuously reveals more and more throughout the person’s life, and that’s why the person is in love with the Word of God. It’s new every morning. It is alive to that person. If you are not born again: ASK the Lord to REVEAL himself to you. ASK him to bring you into his salvation. ASK for the born-again transformation, and he will give you a whole new life. “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ASK Him!” Luke 11:13 More about the born-again experience: To Be Born Again

"Hear my cry, O God, attend to my prayer, from the end of the earth I will cry to you. When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:1-2 When one's heart is overwhelmed, his recourse is to cling to the Rock of ages, the foundation of our faith, the one who heals, covers, protects, and guides; and that Rock which is "higher than I" is Jesus Christ himself. "For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." 1st Corinthians 10:4 The psalmist has often run to that Rock because he knows that the Rock is his shelter from the winds and rains, from all storms that have raged in his life. So once again, when his heart is overwhelmed, he runs to the Rock. "I will abide in your Tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of your wings. " Psalm 61:4 When the children of Israel were wandering in the dangerous wilderness, they brought along with them the Tabernacle, which was the place where God met with his people and gave them instructions, providing them the guidance they needed for the day. In that Tabernacle was the golden Ark of the Covenant which contained the commandments. Upon the Ark sat the golden mercy seat, and on each end of the ark were two cherubim, golden angels with their wings covering over the Ark. The psalmist knew that he would find mercy there, and guidance and direction. And he knew that his protection was there, under the shelter of the wings of the cherubim which portrayed God's protection under which one would find refuge. Scripture tells us that the Tabernacle was a picture of God's Temple in heaven. There Jesus Christ our High Priest makes intercession for us, he who understands our weaknesses and fears, he who stands ready to provide guidance and help in any point of need we might have. "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." Hebrews 4:15 In the earthly Tabernacle and later the Temple, there was a veil separating the Holy Place from the people, and only the High Priest was allowed beyond the veil, no one else was permitted to come near, under the penalty of death. Indeed, when the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies they would tie a rope around his ankle because if he wasn't worthy to enter he would die and they would pull him out without going in themselves. But when Jesus Christ was crucified, there was an earthquake and the veil in the Temple was torn in two, indicating that our High Priest has gone into that Holy Place in heaven, and the blood that he shed for us makes it possible for us now to enter and approach the very Throne of God. "And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split..." Matthew 27:50-51 We are now authorized to come to the Throne of God, to come to Jesus Christ our High Priest, and to ask for help with our needs, to receive guidance and protection in our storms, and the forgiveness of our sins. What a privilege - we have been granted the right to come to the Throne of God in heaven, through our Lord Jesus Christ! "Let us therefore come boldly to the Throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16
